BioName - Alice Longbottom
Position - Auror ( healer specialized )
Personality - Although Alice is far from shy or bashful she is never loud, preferring not to be the centre of attention or the wallflower, but a mix of both. In her youth quick to anger, after years at the Ministry she has become much more placid, or so it would seem. She is usually projecting an outward image of agreeableness, joviality and comfort which sometimes leads people to the wrong conclusions about her abilities. While there is no act about her quick-to-laughter self, there is no doubt however in those who known her long enough that there is always a serious undercurrent. Always something calculating beneath the calm, although even she has been known to lose her control on a few occasions.
A very determined, patient and hardworking person (although also bossy and very self-controlling) Alice is a traditionalist in most things; trying to sway her from her deep-set personal opinions is rarely a good idea.
While she respects (even likes) the current Minister of Magic, Alice herself leans more toward the right and strongly believes in the harsher course of action being applied to Death Eaters. She rallies for as much power and support being given to the Aurors as possible.
Biography - Alice was born to Cecil and Daven Maude, Daven had retired early years before from the Ministry where he worked in the Department of Accidental Magical Reversal to run a small Magical plant and herb shop in the small countryside town of Ware with his wife Cecil, who was a muggle-born witch. Alice grew up happily, while her father had the tendency to sometimes be strict her carefree mother was normally able to soften her father from his occasionally stiff, although well-meant ways.
After attending a privately run primary school for children of her kind, where they learnt to read and write she got her letter from Hogwarts and was sorted into her mothers house, Hufflepuff. Over her years at her Hogwarts she studied hard, naturally excelled at Herbology, feeling at home with the smell of earth and plants and founded many of the friendships that would follow her into her adult life; Alice hated to lose touch with people.
After leaving Hogwarts, unfulfilling odd jobs here and there and her marriage to Frank Longbottom, Alice applied for a position at the Ministry as an Auror. While accepted Alice was placed for three years in Auror training in a branch of her choice - healing. After a year at St. Mungo's, she moved onto train under a Ministry Department as a Mediwitch. In the summer of 1980, Frank and Alice's first son, Neville was born.
